Aggregates are products used as inputs in concrete articles manufacturing such as blocks, posts and paving-stones, amongst other. The types used are: grit 01, grit 02, grit 0, sand, grain and mixed gravel.

It is used also in substrate manufacturing for railroad tracks and highways paving, where it must be used as grit 3, mixed grit, pebbles and cobbles for gabion.
Other uses are telephone transmission lines wrapping and of course between the railway tracks.

At Votorantim Group, aggregate manufacturing is carried out through different systems, aiming at the optimum exploitation of quarries under development.

Currently, the methods used and plants involved are:

• Independent plants: Araçariguama, Itapiserra Mineração Itapecerica da Serra and Itapiserra Mineração Mogi das Cruzes, operate exclusively with aggregate manufacturing.
• Sterile or impure limestone utilization: Salto de Pirapora and Tocantins Plants, which were originally cement plants.
• Limestone without specific particle sizing utilization: Itapeva Plant and Cipasa, were originally limestone and cement plants.
• Other opportunities: Rio Branco do Sul Plant.
