| Cristian Mohr makes his debut in the Brazilian Championship of Brands and Pilots |
| Champion in 2004 of Copa Turismo GNV (GNV Tourism Cup), pilot Cristian Mohr (Votoran / Concremohr / Dibrape) from Santa Catarina is starting a new challenge in his career next Sunday (October 30, 2005), at the Interlagos racetrack, in São Paulo (PR), by making his debut in the Brazilian Championship of Brands and Pilots, a competition that was one of the most important in the country in the 80s and 90s and that appeared on the scene again last year. To face some of the most experienced tourism pilots in Brazil, Cristian trusts in the repetition of the good results obtained in the categories in which he has competed so far. The change of category will not entail many adaptation difficulties, as the pilot will be racing with a model similar to the one he used in the GNV Cup. "I will continue to race in a Gol, as I know the care very well. The difference is only in the greater power, as the rules of the championship allow slightly more engine preparation", he asserts. Born in Blumenau (SC), Cristian started to compete in the kart category, due to the influence of his father, pilot Max Mohr, in 1999. In the base category of auto racing he won Copa Litoral Catarinense, Campeonato Citadino de Joinville and the Vice-Championship of the State of Santa Catarina in the year 2001. In the following year he started to race with tourism cars in Copa Clio then went on to race in Copa Turismo GNV, where he won the title in 2004. Votorantim is accepting applications for the Trainee program The Votorantim Group has started to accept applications for the 2006 Trainee Program, in the areas of agribusiness, cements, paper and pulp, chemicals and energy. To be eligible candidates must be youths with higher education concluded between December 2003 and December 2005, fluent in English and with full command of the main computer applications. These youths will undergo a selective process comprised of tests in English and general knowledge, a group interview and individual interviews with the Human Resources team and executives from the companies. The deadline for applications is October 10th, and candidates can apply via the Votorantim site: www.votorantim.com.br. A total of 54 trainees will be selected for this edition of the program, lasting for 18 months. Besides learning everyday administration processes of the various companies of the group, the members of the program develop projects that contribute to the constant improvement of business management. The program is aimed at selecting and developing talents, providing opportunities for growth inside the company. "The major differential of the selective process is that, besides choosing people with a good education, it also values willingness to learn and develop new skills. The people selected participate in a series of training sessions and assume progressive responsibilities", declares electrical engineer Rodrigo Marra de Sousa, who joined Votorantim Cimentos as a trainee in 2003 and is now a supply coordinator.
