| The City of Votorantim stages the 70th anniversary commemoration of Votorantim Cimentos |

| Company sponsors traditional local Festa Junina (Brazilian festival held in the month of June).
Votorantim Cimentos, in commemoration of its 70th anniversary, is sponsoring the traditional Festa Junina of the city where it was founded: Votorantim. The event, which has been going on for 91 years, will be held between June 10th and 25th, at Praça de Eventos Lecy de Campos this year, with shows every evening. The Local Government estimates that around 600 thousand people will visit the fair.
Marcelo Chamma, commercial director of the company, informs that during the 16 days of the event, Votorantim Cimentos will be presenting the complete line of products marketed in the region to the public at its stand. "By sponsoring this important festival of Votorantim, we aim to show our appreciation of the city that is the birthplace of our company, display a portfolio prepared with a basis on technological advances, and take the opportunity to register professionals in "Jornal do Pedreiro" (Bricklayer’s Newspaper), a publication that has existed since 2002, designed to improve the relationship and to speak directly with those that work in the area of civil construction", concludes the executive.
In these 70 years of operations in the city, the company has grown, undergone modernization and become a great employer for the quantity of opportunities, collaborating towards the development and modernization of the region. Votorantim Cimentos started its activities in 1936 and has its track record associated with the actual history of the city. The cement factory of Santa Helena was the first to start operating, with a productive capacity of 250 tons/day of clinker, in a small Danish furnace.
Since then, the company has implemented constant innovations and diversified its areas of business. Due to the diversification of activities, growth was inevitable. The company has crossed the borders of Votorantim, incorporating and deploying productive units in other cities and states. Nowadays, the company has an installed capacity country-wide to produce 25 million tons/year of cement and 3 million m³ /year of concrete. The firm has 25 production units, 37 distribution centers and 102 concrete centers, with corporate headquarters in São Paulo.
