Votorantim was voted the best family-owned company in the world by the International IMD-LODH Award granted to family-owned companies and organized by the Swiss institute IMD Business School in partnership with Banco Lombad Odier Darier Hentsch during the 16th Annual Family Business Network Summit, in Brussels. The IMD- LODH Award is the most important of its category and it is the first time in seven years that it is being granted to a Brazilian company. The choice is made by members of IMD and former winners. The criteria of choice includes: - number Number of businesses, international participation and leadership in the markets; - Family control for at least three generations; - Corporate and citizen practices and actions of Social Responsibility.
